What is a Yeast Infection?- Understanding Cures and Symptoms

What is a Yeast Infection?

A yeast infection is an overgrowth of what can actually be normally occurring candida or yeast fungal elements in the vaginal area. There are a lot of triggers from yeast infections everything from antibiotics use, to pregnancy, stress, and of course hygiene. Its contributed to by an overall less healthier vaginal environment. It can cause intense burning, itching, irritation, and changes in discharge.

How to Prevent Yeast Infections

A couple of things you can remember to keep yourself from getting a yeast infection are to change out of damp or wet clothing as soon as possible, wear loose fighting cotton underpants, change sanitary napkins as frequently as possible, and we recommend that you see a doctor or at least speak to a doctor specially if this is your first vaginal yeast infection.

Treating Yeast Infection

After conducting various surveys research shows that almost half of those which said they had a yeast infection reached for a product that controls symptoms but does not cure the yeast infection. There are external symptom relieve creams like vagisil that will help with symptoms but will not cure the infection. There are a few ways to cure a yeast infection vaginally or topically, and orally and systemically. Prescription, oral, or systemic therapies can cure a yeast infection but because they need to be absorbed into your blood stream they can take longer to achieve symptom relieve, usually 24 to 48 hours.

38% of you think you  have to go to the doctor and get a prescription to cure yeast infection. When its actually not true. A lot of this stuff can be taken care of by yourself. If your in good health and your sure this is a yeast infection its a good idea to treat your yeast infection with an all natural treatment to eliminate it permanently without any side effects.

We do recommend you contact your health care provider if this is your first yeast infection just to go over treatment options, any other medications you may be taking and to figure out whats going to be the best course of action.
